Video Cameras
Video cameras are very useful for anything that requires capturing a sequence of frames. They are most widely used by professional videographers in wide variety of fields such as television broadcasting, film and video installations. Some cameras still record onto tapes, although most have converted to digital file formats for quicker file transfers to editing programs.
Video cameras work much like a digital camera only instead of only taking one picture the camera captures multiple pictures per second, 24 frames for movies, and 29.9997 frames interlaced for regular television, de-interlaced for high def televisions and other projections.
Video cameras can be found for as little as $150 or less for a NTSC quality digital camcorder which is 720x480 pixels. There is no top end for video recorders, they can be more expensive than luxury liners but most movie quality cameras are between $30,000 and $100,000. Each camera has specific functions, highlights and uses which makes it very important to research as many available models as possible.
