Wireless camera

Digital cameras have come a long way since the first large yet still low resolution camera that relied on 3.5 inch floppy disks to store the photos on. It could hold a few photos back then, but today’s high resolution pictures require much more disk space to store the clarity these cameras can achieve. There was a day when film was better than digital but that day is over with photographers everywhere shooting on digital cameras with upwards of 20 mega pixels. 35mm film can pull off 6 megapixel resolution when the film grain is tight and picture is taken correctly. 20 megapixels can be printed the size of a building without losing resolution.

Of course, 20 megapixels is going to run well over $2,000 but 6-10 megapixels cameras can be found in the $150-500 range. There are many different types of cameras which are suited for different uses. A professional photographer will almost always choose a digital SLR, or single lens reflex, which shows the actual image in the viewfinder allowing the photographer to get the photo perfectly framed. A digital SLR also allows the owner to change the lenses to suit different photographic needs such as wide angle shots or tightly zoomed shots.

A weekend warrior or hobbyist might also choose an SLR, although there are many smaller models with high resolution that are easier to carry and travel with, and less expensive if they do break of get lost. Almost every model has easily upgradable memory cards or large internal hard drives.

Modern digital cameras not only take incredibly high quality pictures, but many also the owner to capture video as well, some with full HD resolution. Camera accessories such as remotes and tripods can turn an ordinary camera into a wireless camera able to shoot photos remotely which is useful for being included in the picture as well as for wildlife shots.

For film enthusiasts there are a number of different options depending on the quality of picture needed and price range. Film cameras for motion cameras are also being quickly replaced with digital video cameras that can reproduce the same quality as traditional 24 frames per second 35 mm film.

The main advantage to working with digital files is the ability to easily edit and compose the files without actually altering the original. This saves time and money and allows many different approaches to be taken simultaneously. If something doesn’t work, the file is not ruined, but with traditional film there are much less options available and once it’s cut, it’s cut.

To get the most use out of digital camera it’s important to protect the camera from dust and moisture. This can most effectively be done with a quality camera bag that is designed for the camera. Another great tool for digital photos is a photo editing software such as Photoshop. This can give the owner a lot of different professional options and filters for producing truly amazing and brilliantly conceived photographs.
